Biography - Randy Arsenault (Host)

Randy

His drivers license may say that he’s 32 but judging by his Star Wars collection, he’s still a kid at heart.

From a very young age, Randy was always building something; whether it was with a few pieces of scrap wood and some nails, or with his other favourite building material LEGO, he always took his time and never gave up until the project was complete. He enjoyed taking on the role of teacher when it came to his brothers and enjoyed telling them the ‘right way’
to build things. Being the second oldest of five brothers, it was a role that he easily took over and enjoyed.

At 18, Randy finished trade school, became a licensed carpenter and for the next few years, he worked in British Columbia for other contractors. After a while he grew tired of working for someone else so he started his own company called Artech Construction.

Six years ago Randy gave up his trades job and moved back to Ontario to follow his other dream of becoming a Police Officer. At the moment Randy is a full time Police Officer with the Toronto Police Department and a part time carpenter.

Randy has also followed in his father’s footsteps by volunteering his time with the Aboriginal Peace Keeping Unit and is now in the process of recruiting members of the Aboriginal Community for the Police Department.

In his current position as a school liaison officer, he is able to spend time with teens, helping them stay on the “straight and narrow”. He is quickly becoming a role model for many teens and it’s a position that he takes seriously.
